'Somewhere along the way, we must learn that there is nothing greater than to do something for others.' - Martin Luther King Jr.
TIES is an initiative taken by the Indirapuram group of institutions that aims to provide quality education to those who are not fortunate enough to facilitate their education. The venture started with a lot of campaigning by the alumni of the school. After sensitising parents and children about the importance of education, TIES managed to accumulate around 40 students, to begin with.
It started as a venture to teach students, basic life skills such as hygiene, moral science, basic geography, basic science, arithmetic and then supplementing this education with other activities such as dance, music, art and sports. The students at TIES are also allowed to put their hands on various scientific operations at the Atal Tinkering Lab at regular intervals. The evening school runs from 4–5 pm in the school premises and various teachers from different departments volunteer for this initiative. Our main goal is to deliver education through the use of innovative techniques and hands-on learning opportunities.
This gives children not only the information and education that they need in life, but they are also encouraged to perform at events happening at IPS where they get exposure to perform on stage in front of the audience. It makes us proud and gives us a sense of immense pleasure to start this initiative, which has now been imparting education to a large number of underprivileged children.
