Indirapuram Public School is a firm believer in comprehensive student development, emphasising students' vocal and vocational abilities. Putting a spotlight on the same concept, we have the privilege of hosting the Regional Ghaziabad Round of the World Scholar's Cup every year, which is an international platform for students run by an extraordinary team led by WSC founder Mr Daniel Berdichevsky.
It began in South Korea in 2007 and has since taken off on a remarkable journey to where it is now. It is now organised in 65 countries and attracts more than 15,000 participants each year. The tournament is divided into a 'Regional' and a 'Global' round based on factors such as the size of the competition and the nationality of the competitors. The competition provides them with the opportunity to improve their writing, speaking and team working skills. It seeks to induce these attributes in students through various debating, writing and quizzing events for the entrants based on a very open-ended syllabus. It's a two-day event dedicated to the enjoyment and spirit of learning. It allows three-person teams, or in some cases, two-person to enter and participate in interesting events like Scholar’s Bowl, Collaborative Writing, Team Debate and Scholar’s Challenge followed by a Talent Show and Award ceremony. Our School's mission aligns with the organization's, making us a proud partner institution. We feel delighted hosting this event, for we firmly believe in the significance of these extra-curricular skills in the life towards which our students are headed.
